Peter Cramer and Jack Waters have been partners since 1981, combining their expertise in performance, media arts, and activism. In the early 80s, they contributed to the formation of POOL, a dance/performance collective, which, through contact and other forms of improvisation, explored combined theatrical forms, ritual, activism, and group dynamics. Concurrently, they co-founded Allied Productions, Inc., a non-profit arts umbrella, and co-directed ABC No Rio, an arts in education program, in association with neighborhood public schools and settlement houses. Recent projects include the online exhibition “Retracing: 20 Years/20 Artists, A Look at Art through the Age of AIDS,” produced under the auspices of the Visual AIDS Web Gallery and Archive Project.
