Toni Jones is a duel-degree Writing/Visual and Critical Studies graduate student at CCA. She hails from Northeast Washington DC, but attended school in Florida at the University of Tampa.
She hungers to combine fiction and literary theory into a sweet and salty treat that everyone can enjoy. Her writing creative writing is centered in interpersonal creative nonfiction and science fiction. Her academic writing grants popular media the same critical attention someone would give James Joyce’s Ulysses. Whether that is how eye shapes of movies stars determine who they will play or the poverty-race link prevalent in movies, she is interested in what popular media has to say.
At the University of Tampa, Toni won some acclaim winning Outstanding Graduate in Writing Award. Additionally, one of her pieces won honorable mention in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest.
