Jessica Yee is an MA Candidate in the Art History and Visual Culture Program at San José State University. Her Master’s Thesis focuses on American artist Felix González-Torres (1957–1996) and issues of reception history, archival practices and access, and theatricality in his work. She earned her BA in Art History and Minor in American Studies from San Francisco State University. A strong museum advocate, she has held positions in curatorial, education, and development across the Bay Area’s major institutions. At present, she is Manager of the Director’s office at the San José Museum of Art.
