Raimundas Malasauskas

FALL 2006

Raimundas Malasauskas is a curator at the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) in Vilnius, Lithuania, and coproduces CAC TV and So-Called Records.

He investigates issues of “eventology” and “teleaction”; has conducted interviews with Dora Garcia, George Maciunas, Seth Siegelaub, Rammelzee and Tino Sehgal; has forwarded the telepathic message of Robert Barry to Jonathan Monk; and has written about Kylie Minogue, Artforum and time machines.

Recent exhibitions curated by Malasauskas include “BMW,” cocurated with Sofia Hernandez Chong Cuy (New York) and Alexis Vaillant (Paris), CAC, Vilnius, and Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, 2005; “PR 04 (A Tribute to the Messenger),” Puerto Rico, 2004; “Elektrodienos; Unidentified Audio Object,” CAC, Vilnius, 2004; “24/7 Wilno-Neuva York,” CAC, Vilnius, 2003; and “Out Trip Out West: Pierre Bismuth & Jonathan Monk,” CAC, Vilnius, 2001.
