Jennifer Jordan is currently serving as Director of Membership at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and has spent more than a decade helping nonprofit arts organizations throughout California engage and grow their audiences. Prior to joining LACMA, she served in arts marketing and fundraising roles at San Francisco Opera, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, San Francisco Ballet, and SF Camerawork. She currently serves on the board of the American Museum Membership Conference, on the Membership Committee of the California Association of Museums, and as Advisory Board Vice President for First Exposures, a Bay Area-based youth mentoring and photography program. Jennifer’s writing has been published in Camerawork: A Journal of the Photographic Arts and she has served in editorial capacities for numerous publishing projects, from scholarly exhibition catalogues like Afrocuba: Works on Paper (University of Washington Press, 2004) to irreverent lifestyle titles like Find Your F*ckyeah (Chronicle Books, 2019). She received her BA in Art History from San Francisco State University in 2004 and researched the intersection of youth culture and advertising for her VCS thesis project, Hip Service: The Business of Being Cool.
